Join us in New Orleans!
Come join us at the ACS National Meeting in New Orleans, March 17-22. We have a great program of activites and events. Hope to see you there!
ACS Council will meet in New Orleans on Wednesday, March 21, at 8:00 am, Hilton Riverside Grand Ballroom A-D. The meeting is open and all are welcome, but non-councilors must sit in the visitors section.
An item of particular interest to BMGT members is the proposed 2019 Divisional Allocation Formula, which will add components of 1) sessions organized by a division at Regional Meetings, 2) division members attending Regional Meetings, and 3) sessions organized at ACS-sponsored meetings outside the continental United States, e.g., Pacifichem. As you know, BMGT participates at several ACS Regional Meetings each year, in an attempt to reach you closer to home. If the proposed allocation formula is approved, BMGT should expect to receive a larger annual allocation for its regional and international meeting participation.
Are you interested in serving on an ACS Committee? While some committees are restricted to councilors only, many invite non-councilors to serve. If you are interested in serving on an ACS committee in 2019, the online committee assignment preference form will be open March 26-June 8, 2018 at https://www.yellowbook.acs.org. If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com. You may also update your contact information and ACS profile as well at that link.
The Town Hall Forum for nominees for ACS President-Elect 2019 will be held Sunday, March 18, 4:30-5:30 pm, Hilton Riverside, Grand Ballroom A. The nominees are: Harmon Abrahamson, Luis Echegoyen, Thomas Gilbert, and Mary Virginia Orna.
